Mattress Care

Before you start your decade long love affair with your new mattress, understand that even the finest mattresses require regular maintenance and care if they’re to remain the object of your affection.

And, that maintenance and care should begin before the bedding gets thrown on the mattress.

You have changed your sleeping surface; chances are that your old mattress was not what they used to be, so your new mattress may seem a little strange at first. Please allow time for your body to adjust to your new mattress and settle.

Your mattress has come with a Warranty Card. Read carefully, for a warranty to remain valid several conditions are required. Please preserve your bill of purchase without which warranty is not valid.

Mattresses have different layers of upholstery materials to provide comfort and the feeling of plushness. Over time (even a short time) these layers will compress to form body indentations. This is quite natural and often the source of complaints as sagging. To insure proper & even wear n tear, a mattress should be turned regularly as per turn labels.

Flipping your mattress is a two person task. Your mattress is very heavy. When flipping it, having at least two people will prevent you from folding or bending the mattress and damaging the coil construction. It may also prevent you from hurting yourself. If your mattress has side handles, don’t use them to flip your mattress. They are not strong enough for this purpose and are there only to help you adjust a mattress once it is roughly in place on top of the Divan

Mattress is not a Trampoline

Children love to invade on the new mattress and see who could jump the highest using the mattress as their trampoline. This is a bad idea, a very bad idea. The concentrated force of even a youngster jumping up and down on a very small footprint in your mattress can wreak havoc with the coil system. This fun can easily cause the coils to become detached to some degree from one another and really turn your mattress into a torture chamber.

Do not bend your mattress

DON'T bend, fold, drag or drop. Unless a mattress or box spring is made entirely of soft material (like foam or cotton), or is specially built for folding, it probably has a border wire inside that is not meant to be bent. Therefore, don’t bend your mattress or the corners when applying fitted sheets, going through doors, etc. Please take care while shifting from one room to another or shifting residence.

Use a Mattress Protector

DO use a Mattress Protector. A good quality, washable mattress protector is a must to keep your set fresh, dry and free from stains. A waterproof pad is a good idea if there are children or pets in the home.
